Democratic Nominee – Matt Wolf

Judge of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court – Matt WOLF

The 8th Ward urges you to vote for Judge Matt Wolf for Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.  Currently, Judge Wolf is a Supervising Judge in the Philadelphia Municipal Court and is the only sitting Judge running for Commonwealth Court. Judge Wolf is recommended by the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.  Judge Wolf has over 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer for Civil Rights. As a Judge on the Municipal Court, Judge Wolf was instrumental in launching the Eviction Diversion Program, which helped to level the playing field for lower income Philadelphians at risk of losing their rental homes due to lack of legal help. He is also a decorated veteran of the US Army for over 20 years and still currently serves as an active Reservist as a Cavalry Scout in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Judge Wolf previously served honorably in the Army JAG Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the Bronze Star Medal.  If elected, Judge Wolf will handle Commonwealth Court cases involving fundamental issues such as:  election law & election interference; education funding; labor practices and worker protections; land use, utilities, and transportation decisions, to name a few.
